Haiti - FLASH : Gangs back in service on National Road #2

In recent days, It is unsafe to take the National Road # 2 in the evening, at the level of Maro, Chabanne of Petit-Goâve because heavily armed Gangs attack the cars and passengers to ransom them.

Friday 4, these bandits blocked the public road at the level of Maro and Chabanne of Petit-Goâve, stripping for several hours the occupants of vehicles returning from the capital or who traveled to the South.

Saturday night around midnight, a long line of cars was recorded on National Road #2. A police detachment, led by the Commissioner of Police, Serge Barreau, had to intervene in those areas deemed dangerous to free public road.

According to information we have obtained, two former bandits of the locality of Curtis would ransom almost every evening motorists.

For its part, the police seem to be determined to bring peace and security on the National Road #2...
