Haiti - FLASH : The Electoral Adviser Néhémy Joseph resigns

In a letter addressed and transmitted to the President Michel Martelly, the Electoral Adviser Néhémy Joseph submitted his resignation, where he explains "[...] the discipline, rectitude and integrity that I was always recognized made me deserve the honor of being appointed, with eight other people, to lead the country towards free elections honest and democratic. I took to heart my mission and invested myself body and soul.

Today, my faith in the strict respect of the law, my concern of results and my respect for each vote of citizens lead me to take the difficult decision to leave the post of Electoral Adviser I have held since January 2015.

I no longer have the conviction to adequately carry out the mission that the Republic entrusted to me and that your seals have confirmed [...]"

He would also have sent a letter to other members of the CEP to apologize for its decision, and another a letter to the farmer and voodoo sector he represented.
