Friday, Pierre-Louis Opont, the President of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), has again confirmed the date of Tuesday, November 3, 2015 for the publication of preliminary results of the elections of 25 October.

The Coalition for Electoral Observation of Organizations SOFA, CNO, CONHANE and RNDDH, once again urges the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) to make public and accessible to observers, political parties and candidates concerned: The list of minutes quarantined; the recruitment criteria and the names of lawyers and other members of the staff of Votes Tabulation Centre (CTV) in charge of the treatment and quarantining or not of minutes and the entire protocol of operation of CTV.

Irresponsible announcements

Jocelyne Colas Noël, the Director of the National Episcopal Commission for Justice and Peace (JILAP) described as "irresponsible the statements of some presidential candidates who already shout victory," while counting of the minutes is not yet completed at CTV, recalling that "It is to the CEP to announce the results. Stressing that these announcements can have adverse consequences for the country's future following the publication of the results."
