Evans Paul open to a meeting with Jude Célestin and the G8

Prime Minister Paul Evans, said he was open to a meeting with Jude Célestin, the candidate for the presidency under the banner of the party "Alternative League for Progress and the Haitian Emancipation (LAPEH) even accompanied by G8 members.

However, he said he does not intend to replace the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) "The government can not agree with the group of 8 to the detriment of the CEP, nor with the CEP to the detriment of the group of 8..."

Jude Célestin needs an US attentive ear...

his weekend, Jude Célestin candidate for president of LAPEH, met Kenneth Merten, Coordinator of the Haiti office in the US State Department, to which he submitted the main demands of his political party. During the meeting, they discussed ways to find a solution to the electoral crisis. Note that the claims included in the memorandum submitted to Merten was developed by the G8 together with the leaders of LAPEH.

Kenneth Merten did not given any diktat to Jovenel Moïse

Jovenel Moïse, presidential candidate under the banner of PHTK, confirmed having met with US diplomat Kenneth Merten. According to him, the Special Coordinator for Haiti at the State Department just wish that the political staff is renewed. "[...] he did not gives me any diktat [...] once I could say like others that the international community was in command, but today I'm in the kitchen."

Moïse Jean-Charles will not support Jude Célestin

Moise Jean-Charles said on a radio station in the capital "Pitit Dessalin will not support Jude Célestin whatever the outcome of the struggle of the G8. He rejects the idea of supporting the candidacy of Célestin which in his view, is the "status quo" adding on a hostile tone, that the candidate of LAPEH, was the "representative of the oligarchy."
