Sunday, Jimmy Albert the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action, accompanied by the Director General of MJSAC, Jean Max St Albin, participated in the Petite Rivière de Nippes to the launch of the Year of Mercy and Forgiveness.

Several hundred young people from various parishes in the Nippes department attended the Mass celebrated in Midian and the various recreational and sports games (sack race, egg race, musical chair) organized as part of the launch.

Before releasing into the sky of Midian dozens of doves in the company of Mgr Pierre André Dumas and several priests, the Minister Albert focused on the spiritual values, addressing the young people gathered for the occasion. Mr. Albert urged them to cultivate forgiveness and continue to love each other. For the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action, they are way to be followed by the Haitian Youth in the new year under the sign of Mercy and Forgiveness.

The Director of the Directorate of Youth and Insertion (DJI), Mr. Woodly Simon and several technicians of the said directorate have contributed greatly to the organization and success of this launch by mentoring young people who participated with great enthusiasm.
