The Head of State, Jocelerme Privert, this Friday at the National Palace, gave a press conference to take stock of his first five days at the head of the country.

"I take all the provisions in my power to comply with the terms of the agreement and the period of 120 days provided. I reaffirm my willingness to drive safe and sound the electoral process," announced the President adding that a " reduction of the government is considered to reduce the spending of public finances," adding "I asked the Prime minister to suspend all appointments and all installations in public administration."

At the level of candidates for the position of Prime minister he indicated "we have Ms. Myrlande Manigat which was presented by the JISTIS platform, we have former Senator Edgard Leblanc Fils which was proposed by the majority bloc in the Chamber of Deputies and the minority bloc in the Senate of the Republic, we have the economist Fritz Jean, which was proposed by the civil society and human rights organizations, we have Jacques Sampeur which was proposed by the G30, we have the former Minister Joanas Gay that has been proposed by the platform Vérité and former Senator Simon Dieuseul Desras which was presented by the platform Palmis [...]"

Let's recall that according to the agreement of 6 February https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-16533-haiti-politic-the-details-of-the-agreement-from-a-to-z.html the Provisional President of the Republic must consult with the Presidents of the two (2) Houses of Parliament around the choice of a Prime minister to designate.
