Haiti - Politic : The list of candidates for PM, would be reduced to 3 names but...

Contrary to what he had announced, President a.i. Jocelerme Privert has not been able to unveil on Wednesday the name of a Prime Minister, having failed to obtain a consensus around a single candidate but discussions ae continuing.

According to the "information" circulating in the corridors of Parliament, the list of 11 contenders would have been reduced to 3 names, without however confirmation of official source of this reduction. They will be Edgar Leblanc Fils former President of the National Assembly, which has the support of the majority bloc in the lower house (49 seats) and the minority bloc in the Senate (11 senators), Mirlande Manigat, Secretary General of the "Rally of Progressive National Democrats" (RDNP) that can rely on political parties having made a radical opposition to President Martelly and finally the economist Fritz Jean, former Governor of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) of Lavalas trend.

But a new rumor circulating since yesterday Thursday that one of these 3 candidates would have been removed from the list and replaced by another person whose identity remains a mystery so far. The choice of future Prime Minsiter, that once appointed will have to obtain a vote of confidence from both Houses of Parliament, makes the heyday of rumors where blends indiscriminately information and disinformation...
