As part of the commemoration of the 21st International Day of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, Saturday, November 20, 2010. "The Circle of Friends of Children in Difficult Situation (Le Cercle des Amis des Enfants en Situation Difficile CASED) organized a panel discussion on the themes "Prevention of Cholera in Haiti and the responsibility of the Haitian State face to the Convention " the local of "Sant Sosyal Lakonbit" for young people, representatives of some institutions and children supervised by the organization. The theme of "Prevention of Cholera in Haiti" was presented by Dr. Francis Fanel while "The responsibility of the Haitian State face to the Convention" was presented by Mr Pierre-Paul Getheau RNDDH / RESEDH.

The latter criticized the Haitian government that neglects the human rights of children in contradiction with articles 32-1 and 32-2 of the constitution of March 29, 1987 which stipulate that the Haitian State has the duty to ensure children's schooling.

For its part, Ancion Rosemilka, Head of Finance for the cased, made an impassioned appeal to the authorities of the country, including the Department of the Southeast to bring special attention to the living conditions of children, especially the poorest and street children. Ancion Rosemilka, has seen a dramatic increase of street children in Jacmel, which represents a danger to society. "Since the earthquake of January 12th, the living conditions of the stripped children became more and more abysmal" he added.
