Haiti - DR : 3 candidates of the Dominican opposition, advocating respect of Haitians

Saturday, at the latest show of the debate series « Batalla por tu voto » broadcasted on Telesistema (channel 11), which brought together the presidential candidates of the Dominican opposition, 4 candidates discussed relations with Haiti and 3 advocated for mutual respect between the two nations.

For Tavarez candidate under the banner "Alianza por la Democracia" Haiti should be among the priorities of the Dominican foreign policy and the issue of Haitian immigrants should always be addressed by respecting the human rights of these people, "We are a country of immigrants and a government led by me would give immigrants the same treatment as the Dominicans who went to live abroad.
