This Friday, April 29, 2016, as part her tour in Haiti, the American jazz singer Carolyn Malachi and his band will give a concert (fee), at the Karibe Convention Center, (Juvénat) at 7:00 pm, on the occasion of the International day of Jazz. Note that the Haitian-American artist, Félina Baker will also perform on stage during the concert.

Carolyn Malachi and her musicians: Wes Walkins (Drums), James McKimey (piano) and Jarel Araham (Bass) will conduct improvised sessions with professionals from local music to Port-au-Prince and St. Marc.

During her tour of Haiti, the American singer will visit several institutions for workshops and mini-concerts : Kay Mizik, the MUPANAH, Restavek Freedom foundation, the Haiti Education and Leadership Program (HELP) and the Jazz Band of Collège Catts Pressoir.

Note that this tour is supported by the US Embassy to promote jazz music in Haiti and mutual understanding between the Haitian and American culture, in addition to encouraging local cultural and tourist institutions.
