Due to the elections, the Haitian National Police (PNH) has adopted a number of dispositions and prohibitions in order to make safer the elections of Sunday, November 28, 2010.

From Saturday 8pm until Monday 8am:

• It is forbidden to drive a motorcycle in Port-au-Prince

• Vehicles can circulate, but all vehicles will be prohibited within 150 meters of a polling center

• No vehicles will be allowed to move from one department to another

• The nightclub will remain closed

• The sale of alcohol will be prohibited

• The sale of gasoline in containers will be banned

From Saturday 6pm until Monday 6am:

• The border between Haiti and the Dominican Republic will be closed

From Saturday 8pm until Wednesday 8am:

• All permits to carry firearms will be suspended

Remember that the polls will be open Sunday, November 28, 2010 from 6am until 4pm, well before nightfall.
