Friday, Aviol Fleurant, the Minister of Planning and External Cooperation, proceeded to the installation of Wilfrid Trenard as the new Deputy Director General and Branly Eugène as the new Coordinator of the Unit of Observation of Poverty and Social Exclusion (UOPES).

In his remarks for the occasion, the Minister Fleurant praised the courage, dynamism and leadership and experience of Mr. Trenard who joined the Ministry in 1972.

With respect to UOPES, he stressed the need to structure the entity and invited the new coordinator to work in full cooperation with two new managers for the smooth running of the institution which, he said, constitutes the true mainspring of the governmental action.

For his part, Wilfrid Trenard promised to strive to give the best of himself to the full success of the mission entrusted to him to this new position.

As for Branly Eugène, he insisted that his primary objective was to help rebuild Haiti's image internationally, so that poverty ceases to be the business card of the country abroad.
