Tuesday May 31, 2016, The Haitian Philanthropy Coalition will host its first tele-marathon from 7pm-9pm, at Island TV located 14879 NE 20th Avenue in North Miami.

The Telemarathon seeks to intensify philanthropic giving in the Haitian communities of Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties through a Pride Campaign, whose slogan is "An n Ede Tet Nou" - Put Your Money Where Your Pride Is. The Pride Campaign is launched to coincide with Haitian Heritage month.

The Coalition includes 17 community based-organizations actively involved in social service delivery, as well as community and civic affairs. Its members are unified to raise funds collectively and more importantly to educate the Haitian community about the importance of selective philanthropy. The Coalition’s vision is to guide the Haitian community to give more strategically and more critically; and to use philanthropy as a community-building investment with clear expectations of transparency, accountability and outcomes.
