Following the signing of a grant agreement of 2,400 tons of rice in April https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-17128-icihaiti-humanitarian-taiwan-donates-2-400-tonnes-of-rice.html between the Embassy of Taiwan (Republic of China) and the NGO Food For The Poor, the Government of Taiwan increase its support to Haiti to meet food emergency needs by making a new donation of 980 tons of rice to the NGO to support its food assistance programs deployed in Haiti.

This new donation agreement was signed Tuesday by the Ambassador of Taiwan Tsai-Wang Chiu and Monsignor Ogé Beauvoir Executive Director of the Non Governmental Organization Food For The Poor.

Recall that the Taiwan government continues to work in collaboration with Food For The Poor for the fight against food insecurity in Haiti, the total donation amount to 3,380 tons of rice from Taiwan during the current year.
