The National Directorate of Drug Control (DNCD) Dominican, intercepted a truck that was traveling to the Dominican Republic from Haiti, through the border of Jimani and seized about 230 kg of marijuana hidden in the inner part at the front of truck, van type, that was equipped with a double bottom. 5 people have been arrested during this interception.

The authorities indicated that after several months of intelligence work, the DNCD had located the network that had been put under constant surveillance. They said the truck with two people on board had traveled to Haiti on 22 June and is on its return that they have intercepted it and that the canine unit detected the presence of narcotics on board.

Moreover, the DNCD with prosecutors conducted several operations in various Santo Domingo neighborhood to arrest other people suspected of involvement in the case.
