Haiti - Elections : LAPEH expresses about elections

Anacacis Jean Hector, the general coordinator of the Alternative League for Progress and the Haitian Emancipation (LAPEH), of presidential candidate Jude Célestin, indicated the party prepare for the October election. Also he welcomes the participation of presidential candidates of the main political formation https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-17814-haiti-elections-27-candidates-running-for-the-presidency-list.html including his main rival, Jovenel Moïse of the Haitian Tèt Kale Party (PHTK).

Speaking about the disagreements between the Haitian authorities and representatives of the international community he said that the elections can not be organized without international observers, specifying that the support of the international community is important to the electoral process.

About the contribution of citizens to finance the 2016-2017 elections, Jean Hector Anacacis says favorably welcome the approach, also he urges the Executive to prevent corruption in public administration for the necessary resources to finance elections can be available on time.

The coordinator of LAPEH, finally states that the party is in no way linked to the government of Jocelerme Privert, that it wants honest and credible elections, and that all actions of LAPEH aim to convince citizens of the need to grant their vote to the party candidate.
