Wednesday, the young Haitian boxer Hirchins Richardson, 18, has faced the American Gary Russell, 20, at Riocentro, in the context of the preliminary Olympic competitions of Men's 64kg boxing (super light weight).

The American Gary Russell in Blue "won on points" 3-0 over his opponent the young Haitian Richardson Hirchins in red.

In the first round Richardson got 27 points, the american 30 ;

In the second round our compatriot got 27 points, his opponent 30 ;

In the third round Hirchins Richardson got 28 points while Gary Russell got 29.

Note that there was no warning or Knockdown on both sides.

Richardson Hitchins is eliminated from the competition and will not participate in the quarterfinals.

The judges of this combat were: Emre Aydin of Turkey, Rakhymzhan Rysbayev from Kazakhstan and Allan Roos from Finland. The referee was Kheira Sidi Yakoub.
