Haiti - FLASH : The Consulate of Jamaica vandalized, the Presidency apologizes

Anthony Barbier, the Secretary General of the Presidency has learned with dismay that on Thursday, gunmen attacked and vandalized the Honorary Consulate of Jamaica located in Tabarre, whose premises are located in the same space as the SunAuto S.A., which was also a victim the same day of an attack https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-18308-haiti-flash-attack-of-the-sun-auto-sa.html

The President took the opportunity to officially apologize to the Honorary Consulate of Jamaica in Haiti, whose premises have been vandalized in violation of the Vienna Convention and Article 31 concerning the territorial inviolability of the consular premises.

Anthony Barbier, is particularly appalled by the disruption of public order, that threats investment, only guarantee of sustainable progress in the country.

The Presidency has already instructed the Minister of Justice, the Government Commissioner and the Director General a.i. of the PNH so that these bandits are identified and prosecuted and that all necessary measures are taken to restore calm.

The Presidency assured of its solidarity and its support for all victims of those acts that can be assimilated, in this electoral perido, to a political and social destabilization strategy.
