The Economic Forum of the Private Sector has learned with stupefaction the serious incidents occurred August 11, 2016, in the premises of the SunAuto where hooded and armed men, accompanied by a police vehicle belonging to the Polcie Station of Cazeau, a bailiff and a justice of the peace, violated this space after threatened employees and unarmed security officers https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-18308-haiti-flash-attack-of-the-sun-auto-sa.html

The Forum condemns in the strongest possible term the ttack against a Haitian private company that contributes positively to the progress of the economy, to the ustainable job creation and social welfare, and "unreservedly expresses its solidarity with the SunAuto and its staff, who have experienced difficult times during the day of August 11, 2016, facing the outburst of these individuals lawless."

"[...] The Forum believes that such an act committed under the eyes accomplices of authorities dedicated to the protection of lives, property and rights of citizens and businesses, is a serious infringement on the exercise of property rights in our country and by the same, to its ability to attract private investment to generate employment, growth and prosperity for the entire population."

The Forum calls on public authorities, particularly the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, the National Police of Haiti and the Superior Council of the Judiciary, "[...] to pronounce on this incident regrettable and take the urgent measures necessary and crack as it should be against the perpetrators and co-perpetrators and prevent any recurrence in the future."
