Friday to 10 days of the back to school 2016-2017, set for 5 September, the authorities of the Ministry of Education reported that everything was ready to welcome the schoolchildrenand recalled that this year the Ministry had a budget of 550 million gourdes (1 US dollar = +/- 65 gourdes) to support parents... An amount that the Ministry recognizes as being less than previous years, launching an appeal for collaboration and understanding of everyone for a good school year.

Distribution of 550 million Gdes :

505 million Gdes subsidy and allocation for textbooks;

17 million Gdes for school furniture;

28 million Gdes for minor rehabilitation work in public schools.
