Thursday in the night, the former Director of National Radio of Haiti (RNH) Charles Alexandre Abellard, passed away at the Canapé-vert hospital following a bravely supported disease.

Recall that Charles Alexandre Abellard was the first programming director from February 1977 to August 1979, later he was promoted to Director General, a position he held from August 1979 to September 1985. He is the person who initiated the first test broadcast programming for Radio.

"Brilliant intellectual, playwright, Abellard will have traced the way to follow at that State media.

The date of his funeral will be announced later. The Directorate General and staff of the National Radio and Television of Haiti (RTNH), bow to the remains of this great man and wished condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased."
