On Wednesday afternoon at the Primature, Prime Minister Jack Guy Lafontant chaired his first Governing Council.
At this Council, were discussed among others: the government's action plan and the amending budget; The regulatory and legal framework supporting government action; The functioning of the Government (including the "saisine" of the Council of Ministers, the appointment of appointment and dismissal of civil servants, the intergovernmental communication) and follow-up of the instructions and recommendations of the Head of State at the 1st and 2nd Council of Ministers.
A report on the preparation of an emergency program launched by President Moïse in response to the problems of the populations of Grand'Anse, 6 months after the passage of Matthew was also presented.
