Haiti - Football : Mission for the detection and evaluation of young talents

In order to improve the level of football in Haiti, the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) confirms the arrival Thursday of two French technicians invited Hervé Happy and Beaufreton of the HS Montepellier Hérault.

During their stay (May 25-30), Hervé Happy and Beaufreton will see a maximum of matches. Mini-tournaments, girls and boys, will be organized at the FIFA Goal Center every day from morning to night and they will also attend championship matches to see the maximum of our young footballers in action. These technicians are well informed about the quality of the work we do in Haiti, since they had had Selso in training in October and wanted to see him evolve in his natural environment underlines the Federation.

The FHF recalls that last year 6 girls were sent to France for training and detection, which allowed Nerilia Mondésir to sign a five-year contract in the Club de Montpellier to start a promising career.

The Federation ensures that this kind of evaluation mission, although costly, will multiply not only in order to promote our young people but also in the idea of leading to cooperation with major professional clubs. Thus it announces that next August it is technicians of the Girondins de Bordeaux who will carry out a prospecting mission to find opportunities for our young people and energize the training programs in Haiti.

Let us recall that last October a similar visit was made by technicians from FC Metz and a convention was signed with this prestigious French Club with the possibility for our best girls of 16 years to continue their training there but also and especially for our educators to carry out long placements in France to familiarize themselves with the management of the high level specifying that soon, a group of 3 young coaches will go for three months to Metz to work and learn in the professional coaching of this Club.

"There is no other way to improve the game than through development and training knowing that the field is very new for Haitian football, so it is necessary to find experienced partners to take advantage of what has been done best in the world, importing and implementing it here, we are lucky to count on France, which we are unanimous in acknowledging that it has the best training expertise in the world; As evidenced in international statistics, France has just surpassed Brazil and Argentina as an exporting country of football player in the world," says the FHF.
