Haiti - Politics : A first for Port-au-Prince

Friday, the city of Port-au-Prince formally integrated the International Observatory on "Living Together". Youri Chévry, the Mayor of Port-au-Prince signed the Act of Accession and the Montreal Declaration.

The Observatory is both an international network of cities and a platform for exchanges, experiences, innovative initiatives and knowledge about cohesion, inclusion and daily security in cities. This Observatory was created by the mayors of 23 cities from four continents, gathered at the Mayors' Summit on Living Together, in Montreal in June 2015.

Note that so far, Port-au-Prince is the first and only city in the Caribbean region to integrate this International Observatory.
