Haiti - FLASH : Minimum wages all details

As of Tuesday, August 1, the minimum wage of 350 gourdes enter into force, for those who provide 8 hours of work per day in assembly industries export-oriented manufacturing and other export-oriented (Article 5 Segment F of the decree published on 28 July 2017 in Special Issue 23 of the Official Journal "Le Moniteur"].

Minimum wages, extracts from the decree :

Article 1 (Segment A) :

Minimum wage fixed at 400 gourdes per day of 8 hours of work in: private production of electricity; Financial institutions (banks, transfer houses, insurance companies); Telecommunications; Import-export trade; Supermarkets; Jewelers' shops; Art Galeries ; Furniture, furniture and appliances stores; Physicians' office, polyclinics [...]

Article 2 (Segment B) :

Minimum wage of 350 gourdes per day of 8 working hours in the sectors: buildings and public works (BTP); Truck and heavy equipment rental companies; Building materials rental companies; Construction materials transport companies; Hardware store; Other financial institutions (cooperatives, caisses populaires, manufacturing industries oriented to the local market [...]

Article 3 (Segment C) :

Minimum wage set at 290 gourdes per day of 8 working hours in: hotels and restaurants; Agriculture, forestry, livestock and fisheries; Agricultural products processing industry; Retail trade except supermarkets, jewelry stores, cosmetics and clothing stores [...]

Article 4 (Segment E) :

Minimum wage set at 290 gourdes per day of 8 hours of work, as home service personnel.

Article 5 (Segment F) :

Minimum wage of 350 gourdes per 8-hour working day in export-oriented assembly industries and other export-oriented manufacturing industries [Contested and trade union demand of 800 Gourdes]

Article 6 (Segment G) :

Minimum salary of 300 gourdes per day of 8 hours of work in private security agencies and petroleum product distribution companies.

Article 7 (Segment H) :

Minimum wage of 350 gourdes per day of 8 hours of work in private vocational schools and private health institutions employing more than 10 people and offering hospital services.
