Tuesday, Hervé Denis, Minister of Defense and his Director General, Colonel Louis Marcelin, attended the graduation of 10 Haitian engineers from Ecuador's 2017 promotion of the Ecuadorian Land Force Training School.

At the end of the ceremony, Minister Denis held a working meeting with his Ecuadorian counterpart, Miguel Cavajal, and members of the Ecuadorian army staff.

Both Ministers expressed their satisfaction with the good results achieved and expressed their interest in continuing and strengthening this cooperation. Minister Denis presented the Haitian government's vision of the Haitian Defense Force and the steps being taken to create it. The next promotion formed by the equator should include 6 cadets.

In addition, Ecuador pledged its support for the training of trainers who will train the soldiers on the ground in Haiti. Specialization programs will be offered to Haitian officers who will integrate the military medical corps, the military engineering corps, the military agronomy corps and other corps in areas deemed useful, to enable the new Defense Force of Haiti, to participate effectively in the efforts of its national development.
