Haiti - Cycling : Willy Joseph winner of the Les Cayes Fraternity Race

On Sunday, August 13th, Régine Lamur, Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (MJSAC), accompanied the Haitian Cycling Federation in the organization of the Race of the Fraternity in Les Cayes which was part of the preparation of the national selection to its participation in the world championship of cycling in September.

Several thousand young people gathered on the course of this 70 km race to support the performances of 32 cyclists from Cap-Haitien, Saint-Marc, Port-au-Prince, Léogane and Les Cayes to take part in this criterion.

Podium :

1st: Willy Joseph (Léogâne)

2nd: Francy Appolon (Port-au-Prince)

3rd Kethlain Jude Estimate (Les Cayes)

Minister Lamur, who was accompanied by Senator Hervé Fourcand and Deputy Claudy Robas, warmly congratulated all the participants in general and the winners in particular. She promised to continue supporting cycling in various interventions of the Ministry's support to National Sports Federations and Associations. She warmly applauded the behavior of the young people who attended the race in great numbers and encouraged the runners throughout this race.
