Our senior men's national team will be touring the Asian continent from October 2 to 10, 2017. On the program, two friendly football matches were to be held against the national teams of China and Japan.

However, in a letter sent by the Chinese Football Federation to Carlo Marcelin, Secretary General of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF), the China-Haiti friendly match scheduled for October 6 was postponed. This letter specifies that the match will be played at a later date that the two Federations will fix together during the year 2018.

On the other hand, the other friendly match against Japan is maintained for Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the "Nissan Stadium" in Yokohama to 7.30 pm (japan time) (6.30 am, Haiti time). For the occasion the Colombian equipment manufacturer of the Grenadiers, SAETA has made special outfits. Our Grenadiers will wear a white jersey, red panties and red stockings for this match.

The Japanese team, headed by former French-Yugoslav center Vahid Halihodzic, composed almost exclusively of foreign professionals is the second team after Iran, qualified for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia.

For Haiti, the match against the Japanese team will have a double challenge: the FIFA rankings on the one hand and the Kirin Cup (the biggest annual meeting of Japanese football) for the trophy and a financial bonus to the winner of the match.

The delegation and our Grenadiers will arrive in Japan on October 7th.
