Haiti - Justice : Ultimatum of the Magistrates before the unlimited strike

After a first meeting on September 25th between the representatives of the 3 powers of the State https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-22241-haiti-news-zapping.html around the demands of magistrates, clerks and bailiffs, the Professional Association of Magistrates takes note of the negotiations between the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ) and the Executive Power concerning the demands of the Magistrates

The Magistrates' Association grants the parties involved in the negotiations a moratorium until Friday 6 October 2017 for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding which will specify the responses thatr will be given to the various structural and cyclical demands of the judiciary, in particular better working conditions, new premises, rehabilitation of obsolete premises, an increase in the budget of the CSPJ, health insurance coverage, staffing of the courts with modern equipment and materials etc...

Unless a Memorandum of Understanding is signed within the allotted time, magistrates will observe an unlimited strike from Monday, October 9, 2017 until their demands are met.
