Haiti - Technology : Solar energy continues to expand to Nan Sevré

Saturday, President Jovenel Moïse, accompanied by Deputy Jean Philippe Bélizaire (Tiburon) and some local authorities, went to Nan Sevré, 2nd Communal Section of Tiburon (Department of the South), to follow the progress of the "Kay Pa m Klere" program, which has already reached 900 families

The Head of State has instructed technicians to quickly install the rest of the 300 solar systems in order to allow the 1,200 registered families (initially 2,000) to benefit from the benefits of electricity.

Moïse took advantage of his presence in the South to visit the Nan Sevré chapel, which is in critical condition and some homes that suffered extensive damage during the passage of Hurricane Matthew in October 2016. Addressing population, he has renewed his promises : building a public market to promote economic activities in the area; build 600 houses to help the poorest people to live in a place that respects dignity and finally provide support to those who make gardens and teachers of schools.

Let's recall that the "Kay Pa m Klere" program aims to install solar systems in areas that do not have many houses or are far from one another. The 24/24 electricity program says Moïse says "will not leave anyone behind, it depends on how many houses there are in the area, they will receive either a solar-powered system, a mini-power plant, or else an electricity grid capable of supplying several communes at the same time."
