Tuesday, members of the Specialized Corps of Terrestrial Border Security (CESFRONT) in collaboration with agents of the Intelligence Department of Intelligence Operations at the Border (DOIF) arrested a Haitian on the binational bridge of Dajabón.

The arrested man, who identified himself as Wilson Fasin, had no identification papers on him. He was going to cross the bridge in a tricycle where 3 packs wrapped with tape of an approximate weight of 15 lbs concealed under coconuts were discovered. Pending confirmation of the type of narcotic, the Dominican authorities suspect that it could be marijuana.

A certain amount of money, a cell phone in Fasin's possession, were also seized with the tricycle and narcotics. Fasin and the seized items were handed over to the National Directorate of Drug Control (DNCD) in Dajabón for legal follow-up.
