The National Electoral Challenges Office (BCEN) has heard yesterday Saturday, the appeal of the 3 presidential candidates. These challenges were held in the presence of legal experts of the Organization of American States (OAS).

Jude Célestin :

The lawyers of Jude Célestin "INITE" ,sure of his victory, called for the respect of the results published by the CEP. "We can not ask the court to accept the report of the OAS," said Me Ephésiens Joassin One of the lawyers of Célestin. In addition, it was asked the court to accept the formation of a new commission to verify the tabulation center, the minutes of his client that were canceled.

Me Osner Févry, another lawyer, defender of the interests of the candidate said on Radio France Internationale (RFI) that Jude Célestin refused that his party rejects his candidacy of the presidential race "Mr. Jude Célestin is a candidate for the presidency. So if the press release said - that we would like Célestin withdraws - well, we do not ask a politician to give up his victory without prior discussion. Mr. Célestin has deep convictions that he won the elections at the first round. He already said that he received the a favorable vote of 52% of the electorate. So according to him he won at the first round, and it is elected president at the first round."

Michel Martelly :

The court heard the lawyers of Michel Martelly "Repon Peyizan" who pleaded the compliance with the recommendations of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the publication of the results as submitted by the expert mission, an appeal supported by Me Gregory Mayard Paul before the President of the tribunal Gaillot Dorsinvil.

Charles Henri Baker :

The presidential candidate Charles Henri Baker "Respé" had requested the formation of an audit committee in order to notice fraud and irregularities that occurred during the election on November 28, 2010 (ballot stuffing and minutes at the center tab).

Request rejected by the BCEN.

In addition Charles Henri Baker had also filed an appeal for the cancellation of the elections. Regarding this last appeal the BCEN which have other similar appeals, said that it will take a single decision to deliberate in the legal deadline.
