Haiti - Health : PM at the 3rd Latin American Forum on the Response to HIV/AIDS

Monday at the Karibe Convention Center Hotel, Prime Minister Jack Guy Lafontant participated in the opening ceremony of the 3rd Latin America and Caribbean Forum on HIV/AIDS, which was held under the theme "Ending AIDS in Latin America and the Caribbean towards accelerated and sustainable regional goals."

In his speech, after having praised the courage and determination of the various partners involved in the fight against the spread of AIDS, the discrimination and stigmatization of people living with HIV/AIDS; he reiterated the Government's determination to make every effort to achieve the target of "three 90" by 2020, ie 90% of the population will be screened and know their HIV status; 90% of people living with HIV/AIDS will be cared and finally the viral load of 90% of HIV positive will be removed.

Through the Multi-sector Coordination Committee of Global Fund projects in Haiti (CCM-Haiti) chaired by the First Lady, Martine Moïse, the Prime Minister affirmed that the Haitian State is committed to working to improve the quality of life of the human person, especially the most vulnerable.
