Haiti - Health : Relaunch of the Public Hygiene Service

The Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP) in the presence of Prime Minister Jack Guy Lafontant, yesterday Thursday relaunched the Public Health Service at the national level, at the BRH Convention Center, under the name of the Directorate of Health Promotion and Environmental Protection (DPSPE).

On this occasion the PM said "Who among us among the not-so-young did not know these professionals dressed in green who even entered in our houses to carry out inspection visits within the home ?"

We are forced to plunge into our past to solve problems of our present, "recalling that after the earthquake of January 12, the MSPP created the Higher Institute of Training of Sanitary Technicians that has trained about three hundred young people.

"I invite people to open the doors of their homes and listen to them. They will wear uniforms and badges to carry out their duties, and will have the opportunity to use the police or justice to make espect their recommendations," informed Prime Minister Lafontant.
