The Haitian Football Federation (FHF) informs us that the Haiti-Brazil football match that we talked about a few weeks ago, could finally take place early next year in Maceio (capital of the State of Alagoas on the Atlantic coast) in Brazil.

It would be a Gala match that would mark the end of Brazil's direct military assistance to Haiti around the theme "Meeting of Solidarity and Peace".

If the details are not yet fully known, a brief correspondence from the Brazilian Government to the Embassy of Haiti in Brazil indicates that the bases and the eventual date are decided. In principle, firm official proposals should soon be sent to both the Government of Haiti and the FHF...

To avoid being caught short the Federation began to reflect on what could be a strong Haitian selection to rival any Brazilian team at a date no FIFA, which is not simple because the players from Europe and from England (especially the FA) will not be released, having almost no truce.

By cons, those who are in countries where winter imposes a truce (Armenia, Sweden etc...) those in North America (Canada, USA...) and those in the Dominican Republic and Haiti (soon on vacation) should not be a problem. The FHF recalls that it will be necessary to solicit them early or to envisage a solid stage before this possible match of Gala...
