Haiti - Environment : Urban beautification works in Bon Repos

As part of the operation "Lave figi Kwadèboukè" and the end of the year celebrations, Mayor Rony Colin of Croix-des-Bouquets, launched urban beautification works in Bon Repos, particularly at the intersection of the national roads #1 and #3, the northern entrance of the commune , to give a beautiful image and better receive visitors, tourists and residents.

These works include the sanitation of space and the planting of palms (Puerto Rico) at the roundabout and the edges of national roads.

Remember that this space was once anarchically invaded by merchants who caused endless traffic jams preventing citizens from traveling on the sidewalks occupied by vendors and their goods. A situation that exposed pedestrians on the road to the risk of accidents with vehicles.

A situation that the Municipal Council resolved during the first phase of operation "Lave Figi Kwadèboukè" by clearing the public road of merchants and moving the terminal of Bon Repos. It is in order to build on this momentum that Mayor Colin is now undertaking this work, which will also continue in other areas.

The Municipal Council is asking the support of the entire population crucienne in order to protect these trees and keep the town clean for a new Croix-des-Bouquets.
