Haiti - Politic : Delivery of heavy equipment at the Town Hall of Cap-Haitien

Thursday in Cap-Haïtien, President Jovenel Moïse, accompanied by Senator Nawoon Marcellus North and Fritz Caillot the Minister of Public Works, proceeded under the rain, to the Carrénage Boulevard to the delivery of equipment and heavy machinery, to the Town Hall and the Departmental Direction of the North.

In the presence of members of the City Council and many citizens, the Head of State has brought with these equipment an essential solution for the community, which looks forward to the actions announced by the President in the framework of the Caravan of Change, including the construction of roads connecting several communes and remediation work...

The ceremony of delivery of these new equipment reflects the will of the Executive to accompany the communities, some of these materials will be used to clean up the city said Moïse who promised that the State will be alongside the City Council, of the Service Metropolitan Solid Waste Collection (SMCRS), the Departmental Directorates and Delegations to combat insalubrity highlighting "There must be no political maneuver around the insalubrity in the city of Cap" taking the opportunity to ask all actors locals to get involved and announce the creation and identification of a temporary waste disposal site.

According to the Head of State, as part of this vast sanitation operation, serious changes are required, such as the demolition of some houses built on the canals that prevent the evacuation of rainwater.
