Haiti - Social : 10 Haitians arrested on Saona Island

According to Captain Manuel Diaz Santiago del Orbe, spokesman for the Navy, 10 Haitian nationals, in irregular situation were arrested this week on Saona Island in the province of Altagracia in the Dominican Republic. He precised that these arrests have been made by the detachment of Bayahibe, during a surveillance operation of illegal importation of goods within the framework of the health alert against the cholera, effective throughout the country. The 10 Haitian nationals, 9 men and one woman, were handed over to the Immigration for repatriation in Haiti. S/ HaitiLibre
