Haiti - Petit-Goâve : Teachers' strike, the students of Lycée Faustin Soulouque demonstrate

Following the expiry of the deadline granted to the Ministry of National Education, the teachers in illegal situation of the Lycée Faustin Soulouque of Petit-Goâve, resumed Monday their strike, putting an end to the truce which they observed for more than two months in exchange for promises not held by the Ministry.

In response, visibly furious the students of the Lycée took the concrete at the end of the day and blocked the traffic onthe Street Républicaine, by placing benches on public roads, to demand the resumption of classes in classrooms, making hostile remarks to those responsible for national education. The students expressed their firm intention to continue their protest movement.

On the spot, we noticed the presence of some strikers professors and policemen led by Police Commissioner Petit-Goâve, Zamor Jhon Joseph.
