During of the weekly press conference of the UN Mission for Stabilization in Haiti (Minustah), which was held yesterday, Thursday, Sylvie van den Wildenberg, Spokeswoman of the Minustah has reiterated the commitment of the Mission to provide its support in securing support, logistical support and technical assistance to the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) and the Government of Haiti in the organization of the second round of the presidential and legislative elections.

"The 8.500 peacekeepers and some 3.500 United Nations police officers are ready to support the Haitian National Police (PNH) in the implementation of its electoral security apparatus.
