Haiti - USA : A Haitian extradited to the United States after 15 years on the run

After 15 years on the run, Rony Ulysses (42) is back in the United States where he faces murder charges. Ulysses was arrested in Haiti and extradited to central Florida, where he is held without bail to the Seminole County Jail.

The report indicates that prior to his extradition, he was placed in custody on a charge unrelated to US justice until investigators in Haiti realized he was wanted in the United States.

Wilfredo Rivera, owner of Max-A-Million Records, was kidnapped, beaten and shot in Orlando in March 2003 because of debt. A certain Jorge Robles, was convicted of Rivera's murder in 2007 and sentenced to life in prison.

A spokesman for the sheriff's office said the charges against Rony Ulysses could be eased due to his cooperation with the investigation into the case and the arrest and conviction of the murderer. Rony Ulysses remains for the moment accused of aggravated assault and armed kidnapping.
