This Friday, March 23, 2018, in the presence of the First Lady, Martine Moïse, of Prime Minister Jack Guy Lafontant, of the Health Minister Marie Gréta Roy Clément, the Ambassador of Brazil, Fernando Vidal and the Deputy Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Brazilian Health, Paulo Rodopiano will take place the inauguration of the National Ambulance Center redevelopment works (CAN), whose activities had been suspended since July 2017.

An important part of the CAN restructuring was carried out with funds of 1.6 million Brazilian cooperation by the Ministry of Health of Brazil and the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC), with the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Office of the United Nations United for the Project Support Service (UNOPS).

Thanks to this new donation from the Brazilian Government, it has been possible to finalize, among other things: the disinfection zone, the construction of the garage and the ambulance washing machine. In addition, Brazil has allowed the maintenance and repair of these ambulances, 10 of which are already ready and donated this year an additional 10 ambulances

This project is part of the Brazil-Haiti health cooperation that has existed since 2010, aimed at improving the situation of ambulance transport and providing reliable service to the Haitian population.
