Haiti - Sports : Official results of the first international half marathon of Les Cayes

On Sunday at 6:33 am, 143 athletes (129 men and 14 women), including some fifteen foreign riders, took the start of the 1st edition of the 21 km long international marathon of Les Cayes.

124 runners crossed the finish line, 13 were disqualified for not completing the race in less than 4 hours, and civil protection reports the care and evacuation to the Immaculate Departmental Hospital, of 6 runners including two women, who suffered mainly from cramps.

Men podium :

Premier: Cesarion Pétrus (1h 15mn 40s) Bonus of 2,500 American dollars plus a Bonus of 75,000 Gdes

Second: Roselin Timé (1h 18mn 22s) Bonus of 1,500 US dollars plus a Bonus of 25,000 Gdes

Third: Fiéfié Notus (1h 18mn 28s) Bonus of 1,000 US Dollars plus a Bonus of 20,000 Gdes

Women podium :

First: Rosemonde Bazile (1h 51mn 44s) Bonus of 2,500 American dollars plus a Bonus of 75,000 Gdes.

Second: Marie Michelle Zamor (2h 5mn 58s) Bonus of 1,500 US dollars plus a Bonus of 25,000 Gdes.

Third: Lourdeline Elisca (2h 12mn 3s) $ 1,000 bonus plus a 20,000 Gdes Bonus.

In addition to these bonuses, the Committee considered it necessary to award 10 additional bonuses of US $ 100 to reward the top 5 in each category.
