Haiti - Social : Demonstration in Cap Haitien for the return of Aristide

Several thousand people demonstrated this Friday through the streets of the city Capoise, they demanded the return before March 20, 2010, date of the second round, of the former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide, in exile in South Africa since since 2004. Was also part of their claims, the cancellation of the elections. Nawoom Marcellus, senatorial candidate of the platform INITE, who will face Westner Polycarpe of ALTERNATIV for the Northern Department was at the head of the demonstration.

No incidents have been deplored and a new demonstration is scheduled for this Monday to mark the seventh anniversary of the overthrow of Aristide, February 29, 2004, when he left Haiti aboard a U.S. plane.

Recall that on February 18, about 2,000 partisans and supporters of the Former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide have demonstrated in the streets of Port-au-Prince, and that the organizers of the demonstration, have threatened, if they did not get satisfaction, to disrupt the second round of the presidential election on March 20, while the demonstrators chanted in Creole "Without return, there will be no second round".
