Haiti - Politic : Delivery ceremony for the 5 new Ministers

Tuesday at the Primature, following the ministerial reshuffle on Monday https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-24186-haiti-flash-appointment-of-5-ministers.html the Prime Minister, Jack Guy Lafontant, proceeded to the delivery of the amplifications to the 5 new ministers.

In his remarks of circumstance, the Prime Minister first greeted, the courage and the determination of the outgoing ministers before indicating the way to follow to the 5 new ministers while waiting for the update of their roadmap.

While underlining the immensity of the problems and the limits of the resources at the level of the Public Administration, Lafontant, recalled that "the rigor, the discipline, the reedition of accounts and the fight against corruption are the main axes in the process of institutional reengineering of the State." He urged the newcomers to get to work quickly while remaining attentive to the people declaring in conclusion "We wish them good luck and a lot of success in their new position."

The new Ministers :

According to the Presidential decree of 23 April 2018: Citizen Guy André François is appointed Minister of Haitians Living Abroad (ex Vice-Consul and Mission Manager at the Consulate of Haiti in Miami); Citizen Guyler C. Delva is appointed Minister of Culture and Communication (former Secretary of State for Culture under Martelly); the citizen Joubert Angrand is appointed Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development (ex-coordinator of the Institute of Coffee); Citizen Jean Roody Aly is appointed Minister of Justice and Public Security (former Director General of the Ministry of Justice until 2016) and citizen Jean-Marie R. Brunet is appointed Minister of the Interior and Territorial Communities (former President of the interim municipal committee of Carrefour and member of the first Provisional Electoral Council under Martelly.)
