Haiti - Politic : Review of the first ordinary session of the legislative year

Monday, in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution in force, 24 senators and 99 deputies present at the roll call, proceeded to the National Assembly at the close of the first ordinary session of the legislative year 2018 and presented their bilan of this session that we summarize you in numbers :

Chamber of Deputies :

5 Presidents' Conferences;

24 plenary sessions;

6 law projects were voted;

8 bills voted;

3 bills transmitted and tabled;

6 bills passed and not yet tabled;

7 international instruments;

2 two workshops.

Senate :

6 Presidents' Conferences;

21 plenary sessions;

3 government control sessions;

1 resolution relating to the PetroCaribe program funds file;

2 bills tabled;

3 law projects tabled;

3 laws passed in both chambers and transmitted to the Executive;

3 pieces of legislation under consideration in the Assembly;

10 pieces of legislation under examination in committees;

30 working sessions were carried out by the various standing committees.

Recall that this closing is the beginning of parliamentary holidays of deputies, who will return on the second Monday of June according to the prescribed of the Constitution. The Senate will continue as usual to sit during deputies' holidays.
