Prime Minister Jack Guy Lafontant chaired his eleventh Council of Government on May 15 at his official residence. 9 points were on the agenda, including the awarding of a bonus of excellence to the laureates of all the study programs of the 11 entities of the State University of Haiti (UEH); the report of the measures taken for the application of the Decree on the State's lifestyle; the improvement of the living conditions of the population with regard to the road maps of the autonomous departments and agencies of the State.

The balance sheet of government actions counting for the last six months of the year was discussed, to submit to Parliament, in accordance with the law, the second Monday of June at the opening of the second regular session of the current legislative year.

The preparation of the amending budget, the impact of the order fixing the Gourde as sole currency throughout the territory, as well as information on the signing of the Contract / State-UEH Plan ( https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-24416-haiti-politic-the-state-undertakes-to-provide-the-necessary-means-for-the-development-of-the-ueh.html ) were also discussed.

During this Council, the Prime Minister reiterated the determination of the administration Moïse / Lafontant to eradicate corruption, smuggling, tax evasion to broaden the tax base, clean up the lifestyle of the State, modernize the public service and improve the quality of services provided to taxpayers.
