At least 16 dead and 50 injured in 21 road accidents occurred in Haiti during the weekend of June 29 to July 1 in different regions of Haiti. This is the partial assessment announced by the Haitian organization Stop Accidents which fights against traffic accidents throughout the national territory.

Accidents occurred especially in Arcahaie https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-24831-icihaiti-arcahaie-serious-road-accident-more-than-19-victims.html , in the district of Morin, Marmelade, Delmas 32, Carrefour, Croix-des-Bouquets, Canaan and on the road to Malpasse.

"90% of accidents are due to bad behavior, including the use of mobile phones," said Dr. Garnel Michel, Director General of the National Ambulance Center (CAN) who recalls that road accidents are among the 10 leading causes of death and morbidity among 15- to 29-year-olds in Haiti.
