Haiti - Politic : Passing away of the Deputy Mayor of Ferrier

Jean-Marie Reynaldo Brunet, the resigning Minister of the Interior and Territorial Communities learned with difficulty, the sad news of the passing away of Lucienne Bien-Aimé (52 years old), the Deputy Mayor of the commune of Ferrier (Dept. North-East) passed away in the afternoon of Tuesday, August 28, following a disease bravely supported for several months.

Former Coordinator of the Regroupement des femmes in the commune of Ferrier, Madame Bien-Aimé was very involved with her community. Married, the deceased left behind two children.

"In this painful circumstance, the Minister Brunet presents his sincere condolences to the parents and members of the grieving family, as well as to the two remaining members of the Cartel of the Town Hall of Ferrier."

The Minister's sympathies also extend to the relatives and immediate collaborators of the disappeared, including the Association of Northeast Mayors (AMANE), the National Federation of Mayors of Haiti (FENAMH) and Ferrois in general.

For its part, the FENAMH in a statement "expresses its sincere sympathies to the municipal council of the commune of Ferrier, to the association of Mayors of the North-East, to the family members of the deceased, to her collaborators, her friends and to the population of her commune."
