A team from the road workers of the city of Cap-Haïtien, which was responsible for garbage collection was attacked very early Saturday morning by unidentified individuals at Rue 2.

The city administration deplores the death of one woman and the disappearance of another following this attack. "This cowardly and incomprehensible act revolts us all. Our city does not have the reputation of a city where there is insecurity. We have been in talks for several weeks with the National Police of Haiti (PNH) at the departmental level and with the justice. We must find a solution to this growing insecurity situation in the city.

We offer our sincere condolences to the family of the victim and we will do our utmost to make light of this barbarous act."
